It is usually found printed inside the battery compartment of the phone.

How can we find IMIE number in mobile phone: Its common for all manufacturers Nokia,Samsung,Sony Ericsson,LG etc.
It can also be displayed on the screen of the phone by entering *#06# into the keypad.
Note down this IMIE no and it keep safely. This will be very handy to deactivate/ban your mobile when you have lost your mobile phone or robbed by someone(Mobile theft is very common).

SMS your mobile IMIE to 53232 from your own handset.
eg:
To: 53232
Sub: IMIE 490154203237518
Then send
You will get reply saying that whether your mobile handset is genuine or duplicate. If its duplicate one please change that mobile phone with your retailer orelse you will be in trouble soon.
